An unimaginable imagination........

A wake up calls for all engineers and geosciences. My experience in the field of mining makes me write this post.....you hear words like "dem no know anything, we dabi pass them.....na only biroo dem Sabi.....I beg go sit don..." Meaning they don't know anything, we know more than them, it's only pen they know, please go and sit somewhere". This is a local Miner talking to mining engineer/geologist .....I heard someone saying it happens now. You are not far from right bro. The way and manner at which professionals are treated in the mining field is mind boggling. Just because you are not the owner of the field, then you get rubbished. This post is not to say that we engineers are all in all, or we actually know more than them (local miners/non educational miners), but then we need to analyse why this statement comes out from them or so called miner. I tried to simplify this event my talking a look at the person in question (engineer/geologist).
1. Could he be possible suffering from leadership problem
2. Could it be lack of proper training
3. Could it be his inability to be well informed
4. Could it be lack of strength to carry shovel or hammer just like they do.
5. Could it be a discentralized pattern of management of the company that the owner adopt that could be the problem. Discentralized meanning (everybody including the labourers has access to the oga at the top). And it is oga at the top that pays salary for everyone.
CAN WE SAY TWO PEOPLE ARE PRESENT IN A LOCAL MINE OGA AND ALL THE LABOURERS( all on the same cadre)

These are some of the critical views I thought could be the foundation of this problem. I am sure you will have a very good answers to this
