Due to increasing demand in using wagon drilling (crawler mounted pneumatic drilling machine), and its unavailability due to small scale of mining. I came up with an idea of using a jackhammer to do a primary drilling and blasting. Its possible i heard you said that.....  really what is new is the kind of design i came up with to reduce flyrock, unneccessary vibration, airblast,  and misfire as you agree with me that this could pose a serious danger to the environs both human and properties.
This design is to assist me to know my yield more so to have an appropriate swell factor and a reasonable powder factor and to further reduce the negative effect earlier mentioned.
Instead of using the normal drilling od a single holes,  i decided to use double hole close to each other to give me picture of what would look like a wagon drill. The picture explains better..............
This design is strictly on a feldspar site of course the design differ base on the material  to be worked on. The result of this blasting is as expected beautifullllll.
