The new political dispensation came with a lot of hope in the solid mineral sector, as visible changes to light as a result of the brilliant Minister in charge of the sector. Immediately it was made known that the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development had been split into the Ministry of Solid Mineral and the Ministry of Steel Development, and it came clear that the current political swing is clear on how to move the sector forward. Different events unfolded as the ministers were appointed. Mr. Dele Alake for the Ministry of Solid Mineral and Mr. Shuaibu Audu was also appointed as Minister for Steel Development. Mr. Dele Alake took the momentum of the operation to another level with a giant leap, when he made clear that the dwindling fortune of the mineral sector can only be revived if the sanity within the sector is cleared.
